United States, 111', vo ENG, sub FRA, 16 Year

Cast: Justin Benson, Aaron Moorhead, Tate Ellington

The film

Two
brothers who fled from a mysterious cult years ago receive a strange tape that
drives them away from their boring routine and back to their previous life. Looking
afresh at this community that seems to live a simple and sane life, the siblings
must soon question their choices, relationships and memories, while an arising
foreboding danger threatens to bring about life-shattering revelations.

Justin
Benson and Aaron Moorhead, the two geniuses behind Resolution (NIFFF 2012) and Spring
(NIFFF 2015), are back with a bang thanks to their very Lovecraft-inspired
third feature. Developing themes already present in their first film, the
versatile filmmakers – directors, writers, editors, and even main actors in
this case – give The Endless an intimist
and apocalyptic feel. A supernatural horror you will never forget.

The directors

Educated
at the Florida Film School, Aaron Moorhead starts to work very early on for
independent pictures, either behind the scenes or as an actor. Justin Benson studied
in San Diego before writing and working on various short films or features. With
multiple selections at the NIFFF, Benson and Moorhead first directed Resolution together (winner of the Mad
Movies award), in which they tackled the issue of friendship, and then Spring, which focused on the theme of
love in a horror setting.
