The movie

John and Ninni grew up on opposite sides of a family rivalry, with each clan running an amusement park in Stockholm. One summer day, everything changes. The Swedes finally have their own Moulin Rouge!

In the middle of the 20th century, two heirs of rival amusement parks called John and Ninni, grow up in families that actively hate each other. Think Swedish Moulin Rouge! – an impossible romance between star-crossed lovers, swooping flights of stardust and bursts of colours amidst a growing conflict. A pop romantic comedy that makes great use of its kitsch and fantasy elements for an exaltation of the senses.
